Ex wants to change custody schedule last minute for her new boyfriend's vacation

So my ex texted me yesterday asking if she can flip our weekends around because her new boyfriend invited her and the kids on a surprise beach trip. This is the third time in two months she's asked to change the schedule on short notice. I had already made plans with my dad and the boys for a fishing trip that we've been looking forward to for weeks. I told her no but now she's upset and threatening to go through her lawyer. Am I being unreasonable here? I feel like I need to stick to the schedule so the kids know what to expect, but she keeps pulling this stuff.

Don't do it. I let my ex move things around for stuff like this early on and it became a constant thing. Custody schedule exists for a reason. Document the ask and say no.

This is exactly where I had to get firm. She tried the same thing twice. Second time I said no and suddenly the boyfriend's vacation got rescheduled. You gotta hold the line or it keeps happening.

Hard no from me. The kids need stability more than your ex needs couple's vacation time. This isn't about you being difficult, it's about the agreement you both signed.
