Ex wants to switch weekends last minute AGAIN

This is the third time this month. I get it, life happens, but I've got plans with the kids and they're looking forward to it. How do you guys handle this without being the bad guy but also protecting your time? Don't want to be inflexible but also can't keep rearranging everything. What's fair?

Third time this month is rough, man. I'd sit down with her and set a boundary - maybe say last minute switches only happen in genuine emergencies. Your kids remembering the plans you made with them matters just as much as her flexibility.

Been there. Three kids means I've dealt with a lot of schedule chaos. My advice: document the pattern and try to get it in writing going forward. 'Life happens' but patterns are patterns, you know?

That's tough. I've had to learn that bedtime routine consistency actually matters more to my kids than switching things up, so I started pushing back on last minute changes too. They need to know what to expect from you.
