This is getting ridiculous. I'm supposed to pick up the kids at 5 on Fridays but she's late like 70% of the time. Sometimes 30-45 minutes. I've asked nicely multiple times, tried being flexible, but nothing changes. Now I'm thinking about actually having to get my lawyer involved which I really don't want to do or spend more money on. How do I handle this without making things worse? We gotta co-parent for like 10 more years.

That would drive me crazy. I'm dealing with something similar and it's exhausting. Have you tried sending her a text reminder about 30 minutes before pickup? Sometimes that helps.

This is exactly why documenting everything matters. Check your custody agreement on what you're supposed to do if she's late. Some agreements have specific language about this.

I feel this. The inconsistency makes it impossible to plan anything for your time with the kids. That's the part that gets me more than the actual waiting around.

30-45 minutes late regularly would drive me crazy too. Document those late pickups and consider talking to a mediator or getting it formally adjusted if it keeps happening.

Document every single late pickup. Dates, times, how late. If this keeps happening you might need to loop in your lawyer because that's a pattern now.

Honestly this stuff adds up fast. Missing pickups means you're sitting around waiting or rearranging your whole evening. You might need to get a mediator involved or escalate it.
