Ex won't return my calls about kids' schedule

I've been trying to coordinate pickup times for the next two weeks and she's just ignoring texts and calls. When I finally got her on the phone she said she'd figure it out later. This is frustrating because I need to schedule work around it. Do I need to document everything now or am I overthinking? We don't have a formal arrangement yet.
