Ex won't stick to custody schedule

This is driving me crazy. Our agreement says she gets the kids every other weekend but the past month she's been bailing or changing it last minute. Last weekend she texted Friday afternoon saying she couldn't take them. I had plans that fell through. I tried being cool about it but it's happening too much. Do I need to lawyer up or is there a way to handle this without making things worse? I just want consistency for my kids.

That's so frustrating, man. I deal with the same thing and it messes with your whole week when plans keep changing. Have you tried sending her a message documenting each time it happens? Helps if you ever need to go back to court about it.
