Ex won't stick to custody schedule

My ex has been picking up our kids late almost every other week now. She says traffic or work runs late but honestly I think she's just not respecting the agreement we made. I don't want to be that guy but I'm trying to plan my life around this schedule and it's impossible. Should I document everything and threaten legal action or just let it slide? Don't want the kids caught in the middle but this is getting ridiculous.

Late pickups would drive me crazy. First thing I'd do is send her a message each time it happens, keep it factual and unemotional. Then after a few weeks of documentation, have a calm conversation about it. Sometimes people don't realize they're doing it until you show them the pattern.

This is frustrating man. Have you tried putting it in writing through a co-parenting app? Something like OurFamilyWizard keeps a timestamped record of pickups and dropoffs. When my custody agreement started having issues, documenting everything made it way harder for her to brush off.

Is this affecting your work schedule or making it harder to plan anything? That's usually when you need to escalate it. Sorry you're dealing with this.
