Ex won't stick to custody schedule, affecting my time with kids

This has been going on for 3 months now. We agreed on alternating weekends plus Wednesday evenings, but she keeps texting me last minute saying the kids have soccer/birthday parties/whatever and can't come. I get that life happens but it feels deliberate at this point. When I push back she acts like I'm being unreasonable for wanting my scheduled time. Has anyone dealt with this? Do I need to lawyer up again or is there a way to handle this without more court fees?

We've been there with schedule changes and it messes with everyone's rhythm. Have you tried talking to her about what's actually making her reschedule? Sometimes there's something fixable underneath.

Man, that's frustrating. Document everything with screenshots of those texts and consider getting a lawyer to enforce the agreement if she keeps doing this. You deserve that Wednesday time with your kids.

That's rough dude. I'd be losing it after 3 months of that. Keep those texts as evidence and don't let up on holding the line - your kids need to know they can count on dad time.
