Ex won't stick to custody schedule, what are my options?

So my ex has been picking up our son on Friday at 6pm for the past month but now she's saying she can only do 7pm because of work. We have a court order that says 6pm. She keeps saying it's just one hour and I'm being difficult about it but like... that's not how agreements work right? Do I need to go back to court over this or is there something else I should try first? Don't want to be that guy but also don't want her thinking she can just change things whenever.

I feel you man, that one hour shift would throw off our whole Friday night routine with four kids. Document everything and maybe see if you can work out a written agreement amendment with her instead of going back to court - saves money and headache.

That's frustrating when things change mid-stream. With two kids I've learned that consistency matters more than perfection, but your court order is there to protect you both. I'd ask for it in writing and maybe work toward an amendment if it's genuinely helping her.

Yeah that's tough when schedules shift like that. If it's just an hour and she's consistent with the new time, might be worth adjusting if you can swing it, but only if she's reliable about it. Court order exists for a reason though.
