Ex won't stick to pickup schedule

This is driving me crazy. We have every other weekend Friday at 5pm in the custody agreement but she's been picking up at 4:15 on some weeks and 5:45 on others. When I mentioned it she said I'm being "too rigid" but like the agreement exists for a reason. The kids have activities planned around the schedule. Should I be documenting these time differences? Feels petty but also feels like the whole point of having a written agreement is that it actually gets followed.

Man, that's rough. I deal with similar stuff with my ex and the logistics are a nightmare. Have you tried sending her a text reminder the day before to confirm? Sometimes a simple heads up helps even when they're being difficult about the schedule.

This is exactly the kind of stuff that messes with planning. I had a similar issue and ended up documenting everything in writing through our custody app. It helped way more than just texting back and forth.

Man, that inconsistency would drive me up the wall too. I'd send her a text 30 mins before the scheduled time confirming she's still coming at 5pm sharp, and do that every single week. Sets a clear expectation and creates a paper trail if you ever need it.

Document everything. Every missed pickup, every late arrival. I know it sucks but if this keeps happening you might need to involve your lawyer. The custody agreement is there for a reason.

This is frustrating but try not to let it blow up in front of your kid. I've been there and my daughter picks up on the tension immediately. Stay calm and keep records of everything that happens.
