Ex won't stick to pickup schedule

Anyone else dealing with this? My ex keeps texting me last minute saying she can't do Friday pickups. I've adjusted my whole work schedule around this custody agreement and now I'm getting calls at 3pm asking if I can grab the kids instead. I don't want to be difficult but we have a court ordered schedule for a reason. How do I handle this without being the bad guy?

This is so frustrating. Our agreement says 24 hours notice for changes and I just started enforcing it. Told her I couldn't do Friday and stuck to it. She got mad but now she actually respects the schedule.

Ugh yeah I hate this. Last minute cancellations mess up my whole week sometimes. Have you tried documenting all of them? Might be useful if you need to modify the custody order down the line.

I feel you. Do you have anything in writing from your custody agreement about this? That's probably the first step if you need to escalate it.
