Ex won't stick to pickup schedule

This is driving me crazy. We agreed she picks up Emma on Thursdays at 6pm and I get her back Sundays at 6pm. Last week she was 45 minutes late with no text, this week she didn't show up until 7:15. I had to reschedule my gym plans both times. I've brought it up twice already and she just says she got held up at work. I don't want to involve lawyers again but I'm getting frustrated. Anyone else deal with this? How do you handle it without starting another fight?

Man, that's rough. I deal with this constantly on the school run and it messes with everything else I got planned. Have you tried sending her a text reminder Thursday morning? Sometimes a heads up helps, but if she's consistently late you might need to document it for your custody agreement.

This would drive me up the wall too. The schedule is there for a reason so both of you can plan around it. I'd suggest giving her one more chance to correct it, then maybe have a conversation about what's actually making her late.

The Thursday to Sunday schedule is so clear though, I don't understand how someone can just decide to change that. Have you called her out on it every single time or just gone with it?

This is the stuff that makes co-parenting impossible. How is Emma supposed to get used to a routine if the schedule keeps changing? She's probably confused too.

Document everything. Every time she does this, write down the date and what time she asked for vs what was agreed. You'll need that paper trail if this needs to go legal.
