Ex won't stick to pickup schedule, affecting my work

This is getting ridiculous. We have a court ordered schedule - I pick up the kids every other Friday at 5pm. My ex is constantly 30-45 minutes late which makes me late getting back to work. I work in sales so these late pickups are literally costing me money. I've asked her nicely multiple times but nothing changes. Do I need to go back to court over this or is there something else I should try first?

That's infuriating. I deal with similar stuff and it's like, the court order isn't a suggestion. Document everything and don't let it mess with your work. Have you talked to your lawyer about enforcement?

Man that sucks. The unpredictability makes it impossible to plan anything. I had to have a serious conversation with my ex about how this affects my job. Sometimes they don't realize how it cascades into work problems.

That's so frustrating. I deal with similar stuff on my end. Have you tried documenting every late pickup? I started keeping a detailed log and it actually helped when we had to go back to court. Shows a pattern.

Ugh this is exactly why I fought hard for written agreements about this stuff. Every other Friday should be every other Friday. Have you talked to your lawyer about enforcement?

Been there. My ex was terrible about the schedule when I first got custody. You gotta be consistent about calling her out on it, every single time. It took a few months but she got the message.

This would drive me crazy too. Work stress is already high enough without worrying if you're even gonna get your kids on time. Court ordered means court ordered.
