Finally got 50/50 custody after 2 years
Just wanted to share a win. My ex and I had a brutal custody battle when we first split up but we both decided to get counseling and work through our stuff for the sake of the kids. Took forever to agree on details but we just finalized 50/50 with alternating weeks. First week solo went great, kids had their own room setup here, they seemed way less anxious knowing they'd see both of us regularly. It's not perfect and there's still tension but seeing them both thrive makes all the lawyer fees worth it. Anyone else take a long time to get to a good co-parenting place?
Congratulations man, that's huge. Two years is brutal and I remember how stressful it all was. Did your ex come around or did the court finally see it your way? Either way, 50/50 is the goal and you got there.
