Finally got a custody agreement that works for us

Been through hell and back but me and my ex finally stopped fighting and started listening. We have 4 kids so week on week off was impossible. Now we do a 2-2-3 split that actually lets them be in one place long enough to do their homework and be in sports. I pick them up Tuesday/Wednesday, she has them Thursday/Friday/Saturday and gets them Monday. Took almost a year of mediation but we're both committed to not using the kids as leverage. Best advice I got was stop talking to each other and start talking through a counselor. Worth every penny.

That's awesome man, really. Getting to a place where you can both listen instead of fight changes everything for the kids. Four kids is a lot to juggle, so props to you both for figuring out what actually works.

This is huge. Glad you guys stopped the fighting and actually communicated. That takes guts but it's the best thing for all four of your kids. That agreement probably means the world to them even if they don't say it.
