Finally got custody agreement we both can live with
After 8 months of back and forth with lawyers we finally signed off on 50/50 custody with alternating weeks. Yeah it cost us way more money than either of us wanted to spend but at least now we both know exactly what's happening and when. My ex and I aren't friends but we're not enemies anymore either. Biggest thing that helped was when we both agreed to stop using the kids as messengers. Lawyer told us to get a co-parenting app and honestly it's been a game changer. Just wanted to post this to say it does get better.
This is the finish line most of us are chasing. Alternating weeks gives the kids real stability with both parents. How are you planning the transitions with them?
