Finally got the custody agreement I wanted and feeling relieved

After 18 months of back and forth lawyers and mediation, we finally got an agreement signed. I have them Mon-Thurs now and she has them Fri-Sun. Both of us compromised but honestly it feels fair and my kids seem happier with a more predictable schedule. The lawyer fees were brutal but I think it was worth it for everyone's peace of mind.

Congrats man, that's huge. 18 months is a marathon. Now you can actually focus on being a dad instead of living in lawyer's offices. Hope you get some good quality time with your kid now.

Relief is real but also remember the hard part isn't over - it's staying positive through the handoff times and not badmouthing the other parent. That agreement is just paper. How you use it matters.
