Finally got the holiday schedule locked down

After 2 years of arguing about Christmas, we finally agreed on alternating years with overnights, and whoever doesn't have Christmas Day gets New Years Eve into the 1st. My kids are 6 and 10, and knowing the schedule now means I can actually plan stuff instead of just waiting to see what's fair. Feeling oddly relieved lol

Congrats man. Two years is a long battle. Did you have to give up anything big to make it work or did it just finally click that you both wanted to be done arguing?

Alternating years with overnights is solid. We do every other year and it actually makes the holiday feel more special when you get your turn with the kids.

This is the way. We fought about it for forever until our lawyer basically said stop wasting money on arguing about what's fair and just pick a system that works.

Real question though. Does she stick to the schedule or does she try to swap around later? We locked ours down too but keeps asking to trade years.
