First holiday after divorce

Just got through Thanksgiving split custody and man it was rough. Had the kids Thursday morning to Friday evening. Tried to make it special but kept thinking about how weird it was having an empty house Friday night. Anyone have tips for making holidays less depressing when you're flying solo?
