First overnight with kids post-divorce

Had the kids for the whole weekend for the first time since the split and honestly it went better than expected. Made pancakes Saturday morning, we went to the park, built a fort out of blankets. They asked why mom and dad don't live together anymore and I just said we love them both but mommy and daddy are happier this way. Not sure if that's the right answer but they seemed to accept it. Feeling pretty good about this co-parenting thing so far.

That's awesome to hear! The first overnight after a split can be rough on the nerves. How did the kids do with the transition? That's usually what keeps me up at night more than anything else.
