How do you handle it when your ex badmouths you to the kids?

My ex has been telling our daughters that I don't pay enough child support and it's why they can't have certain things. They're 8 and 11. I actually pay on time and the amount is court ordered. I don't want to tell them mom is lying but I also can't let this slide. How do other guys handle this? Do I talk to my lawyer again or try to address it with her directly?

That's rough man. I'd document everything you're paying and maybe loop in your lawyer if you have one, because that stuff can affect custody down the road. Your kids deserve to know the real story.
