How much should I be communicating with my ex?

Been divorced for 2 years now and we do pretty well with the logistics of custody and stuff, but sometimes I feel like I'm over communicating with her. Like I'll text updates about what the kids did and shes polite about it but I wonder if shes just being nice. We're not getting back together or anything but I want to stay on good terms for the kids. Am I being weird about this or is that normal?

I'm navigating this with my two kids and I think it's good you're asking the question. Stick to the logistics but don't force extra conversations, and keep things business-like when you can.

After two years you've probably found your rhythm, so trust that. If the custody logistics are working, you don't need to be chatting about other stuff just to fill the space.
