How to talk to kids about new girlfriend

Been dating someone for 6 months now and it's getting serious. I have the boys Thursday through Sunday. My ex is already being weird about it even though I'm not bringing her around the kids yet. When do you guys introduce someone? Do you tell the ex first or just let them meet her naturally when it happens? Don't want to mess anything up.
