Just got my 9 and 11 year olds through their first holidays with the new schedule

Honestly thought it was going to be a disaster. Split Thanksgiving (her family dinner Thursday, my family Friday) and alternating Christmas mornings. My oldest was pretty bummed at first but we made pancakes together Christmas morning and he seemed genuinely happy. My 9yo cried a little but bounced back. Not perfect but... we made it work? Feeling cautiously optimistic about how this is going to look over the years.
