Just had the best weekend with the kids
So I finally did the camping trip I've been planning for 3 months. My boys (5 and 8) caught their first fish, we made s'mores, and there were zero fights about screen time because there was no service lol. My 8yo said "Dad, this was the best thing ever" and honestly I almost cried. These moments make all the hard stuff worth it.
S'mores with no service hits different. This is the content we need more of in this subreddit tbh. Actual wins that matter with the kids.
The no service thing might be the secret ingredient everyone's missing. Forced presence. How old were your boys when you took them on their first camping trip?
