do NOT recommend. waste of money. tried to get my ex to agree to adjusting pickup times for soccer and it turned into this whole thing. should've just used a mediator from the start. anyway if anyone needs a family law referral in the Denver area hit me up but also... try to keep stuff out of court lol
The pickup time thing could've been an email honestly. Mediation would've cost you maybe $500 with a neutral third party. Live and learn though.
Yeah man, those lawyers will nickel and dime you to death. Did yours at least try to push mediation first or did they just jump straight to billable hours?
How did the schedule dispute actually end up resolving? Like did you get what you wanted or did you cave after dropping all that cash?
My ex wanted to go to court over something similar and I just texted her a proposed schedule with specific times and dates. She agreed within two days. Sometimes people just need to see it written out clearly without lawyers getting involved.

This is exactly why I bit the bullet and used one of those online custody agreement services instead. Saved like $3500 and got basically the same result. Sorry you learned this the hard way.
