Lawyer told us to stop texting, use OurFamilyWizard instead

Going through a custody battle right now and the lawyer said every text to my ex could be used against me. So now we use this weird app for all communication. It feels so formal and sad but I get why. Only 6 months left until trial. Anyone else been through this? My ex keeps being difficult about pickup times but at least it's all documented now. Costs money but feels worth it legally. Just sucks that it came to this. We have two kids together and can't even text directly anymore.

Yeah, OurFamilyWizard is the way to go. I learned that the hard way early on. Everything you write in there has a timestamp and it shows you're being reasonable and cooperative, which actually helps in court. Sounds cold but it's way better than texts that can be taken out of context.

That app is annoying but honestly it saved my butt during our custody stuff. Keep it civil in there and you're golden. Hang in there man, custody battles are rough but you're doing the right thing by listening to your lawyer.

Been through something similar and that platform is actually your friend even though it feels rigid. Every time I wanted to fire off a frustrated text, having that app made me pause and keep it about the kids instead. Definitely the play here.
