Need advice on communicating through her boyfriend

She's been having me communicate about pickups and school stuff through her new boyfriend instead of texting me directly. It's weird and honestly makes me uncomfortable. I told her I need to talk to her about our kids directly and she said it's her right to have him involved. My lawyer said as long as info gets relayed correctly it's not illegal, but it feels disrespectful. Am I being petty or is this actually a problem I should address?

Yeah that's not okay. Your communication about YOUR kids shouldn't go through her new guy. I'd push back on this respectfully but firmly. Keep copies of everything and stick to business-only communication. If she wants to use him as a messenger that's her choice but you can always go direct.
