School's about to end and I want more time with my kids during summer. The agreement says I get them every other week but I was thinking about doing like 3 weeks on 1 week off. Emailed my ex suggesting it and she hasn't responded yet. I'm trying to be chill about it and not demand anything but honestly summer is the only real extended time I get. Summer is prime time with the kids. I'd suggest coming up with a detailed proposal before you approach her about modifying the agreement, shows you've really thought it through.

Reasonable request honestly. School break is the perfect time for more dad time. Just approach it as what's best for the kids, not what you want, and she'll probably be more open to it.
Summer custody stuff can get tricky. What does your agreement say exactly? Some agreements have built in flexibility for summer, others are pretty locked in.
