New custody schedule - anyone have experience with 50/50?

My ex and I just finalized a 50/50 schedule with alternating weeks. I'm nervous about the kids adjusting but want to make sure I'm doing this right. Do you guys keep stuff at both houses or move everything back and forth? What's worked for you in similar situations?

Nervous is the right feeling but you've got this. The kids adjust better than you think when both parents are actually trying. My advice is don't bad mouth the ex to them and keep things as normal as possible on your week.

The fact that you and your ex can be mature about this is huge. Kids do fine with 50/50 as long as they know both parents care. Just stay consistent and give them time to adjust to the rhythm.

50/50 with alternating weeks is tough on the adjustment but honestly it settles out. First month or two is weird, they might act out or regress a little but that's normal. The key is keeping routines consistent between both houses.
