New custody schedule is killing me - thoughts?

Just got the new arrangement finalized. I have the kids Wed nights and every other weekend. Sounds fair on paper but Wednesday nights means I pick them up after work, do homework help, get them to bed and barely see them before the handoff. Weekends are better but that's still only 4 days a month roughly. Anyone else doing this schedule? How do you make the most of limited time without it feeling rushed?

I won't lie, custody transitions are rough. But here's the thing - having a set schedule actually gives you something to look forward to and plan around. At least you know when you've got them locked in. That's better than the uncertainty some guys deal with.

Honestly that schedule sounds tough but you gotta look at it differently. Those Wednesday nights and every other weekend, that's YOUR time with them. Make it count. Cook their favorite meals, do something special. Quality over quantity for sure.

The adjustment period is real but you'll get into a rhythm. What helps is staying consistent with what you do during your time. My son knows Wednesday nights at my place means we're doing something fun. Makes the schedule feel like less of a limitation.
