New girlfriend and the kids - timing question

Been single for about a year after the divorce and recently started seeing someone seriously. My kids are 8 and 10. I feel like eventually they'll need to meet her but I don't want to rush it or confuse them. My ex already has a boyfriend and my kids seem fine with it. When's the right time? Should I give them a heads up first? Any advice from guys who've been through this?

Good instinct being cautious. We waited about a year and a half before introducing the kids to anyone serious. Let them get used to the new normal first. When you do introduce her, keep it low key at first - not a big family dinner situation.

One year sounds about right honestly. My only other advice is don't expect instant bonding and don't bad mouth their mom when it comes up. They'll come around if she's genuinely cool and not pushing too hard.

How old are your kids? That matters a lot for the approach. Younger kids sometimes adjust faster, older ones might be more resistant. Either way, slow and steady wins this race.
