New girlfriend and the kids - too soon?

Been divorced 18 months and I'm seeing someone seriously. My son asked if she's gonna be his new mom. I said no and explained she's just my friend but that didn't land well with him. My ex blew up when she found out I had the kids around my girlfriend. Legally I don't think she has a leg to stand on but I don't want to damage things either. How long did you wait before introducing kids to someone?

Your answer was solid. Kids pick up on how we introduce people in our lives, so moving slow is always the play here.

That's a tricky situation. 18 months in and meeting someone seriously is normal, but your son asking that question means you're thinking about it the right way. Trust your gut on timing.
