New girlfriend wants to meet the kids, ex is flipping out

Been dating someone for 8 months now and she's brought it up a few times. Told my ex that it might happen soon and she lost it, said I'm being disrespectful and introducing 'random women' to the kids. But we've been together almost a year at this point. The custody agreement doesn't say I can't do this. Is my ex being unreasonable or do I need to pump the brakes here?

8 months is reasonable. The kids aren't going to get hurt by meeting someone. Your ex is just processing her own stuff about you moving on. Hold your ground respectfully.
I was in this exact situation. The key was making it about the kids, not about my girlfriend. Like 'she's an important person in my life and you'll see her when you're with me.' Kept emotions out of it.
