Our parenting app recommendations - pros and cons?

Been trying different apps to manage custody stuff and I'm curious what everyone actually uses.

2 Good (used for 8 months):

Shared calendar
Photo gallery
Expense splitting
Actually pretty intuitive
BUT it crashed during an important schedule conflict and customer service is nonexistent

Talking Parents (current, 3 months):

More robust legal/documentation features
Better support
More expensive
Feels clunky compared to 2 Good

I know OFW exists but haven't tried it. What are you guys using? Worth paying for premium or is the free version enough?

2 Good's expense splitting is nice but honestly if there's no customer support when something breaks, that's the dealbreaker. You can live without fancy features but you CAN'T live without reliability when custody is involved.

2 Good sounds solid for basic stuff but if customer service is nonexistent, that's a real problem. What happens when the app crashes during a custody handoff? Did it ever affect the actual schedule or just the app?

Any app that crashes during schedule conflicts is a hard pass for me. Like that's literally the ONE thing it needs to do reliably. What did you end up switching to?

The crash during a schedule conflict is the killer though. What app did you switch to after that? Seems like reliability matters way more than features when you're managing custody.

Honestly for custody stuff you probably want something boring and bulletproof over something "intuitive." Talking Parents or Our Family Wizard might not be as slick but they're built for this specific use case and they actually work.

The photo gallery feature is underrated honestly. Being able to quickly share updates about the kids with the other parent without texting is huge. As long as the app doesn't crash during important moments.

We use Talking Parents which is basically designed for exactly this - custody coordination. It's more barebones than 2 Good but the stuff it does, it does reliably. No crashes, no weird glitches. Worth looking into if you're frustrated with 2 Good's reliability.
