Paying child support and wondering if it's going to the kids or not

My ex got full custody and I pay significant child support. She's got a new husband who makes good money but I'm still paying what was set at the time of the divorce. I don't have an issue supporting my kids but I have no idea if she's actually spending that money on them or if it's going to her lifestyle. I can't ask her without starting a fight. The kids always seem fine and their needs are met so maybe I'm just paranoid. Anyone else feel this way or am I being unreasonable?

That's a tough spot and a valid concern. The system doesn't always adapt when life changes, but what matters most is that you're still taking care of your kids. Keep showing up for them.

I feel you on this one. Co-parenting can be frustrating, especially when circumstances change on her end but your payment doesn't. Have you talked to your lawyer about modifying the agreement based on her husband's income?
