Paying child support while she's taking him on vacation

Just found out she took my son to Disney for a week while I'm paying $1400 a month support. I'm genuinely happy he got to go but also... that stings a bit. She got the house in the settlement too. I'm trying not to be bitter about it but it's hard. Should I be feeling this way or am I being unreasonable?

I've been there with the co-parenting frustration. The Disney trip sucks to find out about that way, but try to separate your feelings about her from what's best for your kid. Document everything if you think support needs adjusting, but keep the high road.

Man, that's frustrating. But real talk - the support is for your son's benefit, not hers. He got to have an amazing memory at Disney. That's what matters. I get the anger though. Maybe use this as fuel to plan something equally epic for when he's with you?

Ouch. That's a tough pill. My advice: don't let this become a thing that keeps you from doing cool stuff with him when he's with you. Kids remember the parents who show up, not the money drama.
