Product rec: Google Shared Calendar changed our life

Posting this because someone recommended it in another thread and I was skeptical. We set up a shared Google Calendar and literally just input appointments, pickups, school events, birthdays, etc. No communication needed except "I'm inputting Jake's soccer schedule on the family calendar." Sounds dumb but removing the back-and-forth scheduling texts has actually reduced tension. We both see what's happening. Both can add events. No he-said-she-said. Highly recommend if you're not already doing this.

This is huge. We were doing the same thing but through texts and emails and it was chaotic. Google Calendar just centralized everything - kid's practices, my work trips, partner's schedule. One source of truth.

I was skeptical too until my wife showed me the mobile notifications. Never missed a pickup time since we switched.

Does it sync with like Outlook or just Google apps? We're a mixed household in terms of what everyone uses and I'm wondering if it actually integrates well.

Been using this for 6 months and I honestly can't imagine going back. The color coding alone saves so much confusion about whose parenting week it is.

Question - do you use reminders or just the calendar view? We've been thinking about adding task lists to it.
