Do you all do anything special about clothes when it's 50/50? My ex keeps sending expensive outfits but then the kids come back to me with stuff missing or damaged. I feel weird asking her to replace them but also... they're her purchases. How does this usually work?
The expensive outfits for a 50/50 kid thing is weird to me. Like why buy stuff they're only gonna wear half the time in a house where it might get wrecked. It's not your responsibility to babysit expensive clothes.
Honestly just ask her directly. Say something like 'hey some of the outfits came back with stains/rips, do you want me to try to get them cleaned or replace them?' Frame it as a practical question not an accusation.
Set a boundary now before this becomes a bigger issue. Tell her stuff that comes from her house in damaged condition is on her to replace. You're not a dry cleaner.
How damaged are we talking? Like normal kid stuff or like genuinely ruined? That context matters for how to handle it.

This is tricky because technically they're her purchases BUT they're for your kid to wear at both homes. Does she expect you to replace stuff that gets damaged? Or is she okay with normal wear and tear?
