Rant: Ex won't stop messaging me about stuff that's not urgent

I get at least 10 texts a day from my ex about the kids. Some are important but most are just her venting about their homework or asking me things she could handle herself. We're supposed to keep things civil and structured but she refuses to use the co-parenting app I suggested. I don't want to ignore actual emergencies but I'm drowning in notifications. Do I just bite the bullet and tell her to only text about time-sensitive stuff or am I being a jerk?

10 texts a day is exhausting. I had to set some boundaries with my ex about what constitutes an emergency versus what can wait until our scheduled handoff time. Helped a lot. Have you tried that?
I get it, that's draining. But honestly some of those non-urgent messages might be her way of staying connected to the situation. Still doesn't mean you have to respond to all of them immediately though.
