She's not following the custody agreement and I don't know what to do

Been divorced for 3 years and we have a solid custody arrangement but lately my ex has been flaky with handoffs. Last week she was 45 minutes late picking up the kids without texting. Two weeks before that she kept them an extra night without asking. I don't want to be that guy that runs back to court over every little thing but it's starting to feel disrespectful. Do I just let it slide or should I document everything and have a conversation about it? This sucks because we used to be good at this.

How are the kids reacting to the flakiness? That's what would bother me most - them getting disappointed. You might need to have a conversation with her about how her behavior affects them, not just the logistics.

I'm dealing with something similar and it's infuriating. The agreement means nothing if there's no enforcement. Start keeping a log of everything. When you have to go back to court, you'll have proof. Sorry man, that's a stressful situation.

This is tough because you've got the agreement in writing but she's not respecting it. You need to document everything - every time she's late, every missed pickup. Then you might need to loop in a lawyer, which sucks but protects you and the kids. Have you tried just calling her out on it first?
