She's poisoning them against me and I'm losing it

My daughter came back from her mom's house and said her mom told her I don't care about her because I missed one soccer game. I DID care, I had work I literally couldn't get out of. This is the third time something like this has happened where the kids come back with stuff they said I did or don't do. I want to call her and lose it but I know that won't help. How do I handle this when my kids are hearing one story from their mom and living a different reality with me? I'm trying so hard to be the good guy here and not bad mouth her to them.

That's messed up and I'm sorry you're dealing with that. The worst part is knowing what she's doing but feeling like you can't fix it directly. Have you talked to your ex about this or is that just going to make it worse?

Document everything and stay the course. Your actions speak louder than whatever she's saying. Your daughter will figure out the truth as she gets older. It's hard but consistency is your weapon here.

Hang in there. My buddy went through something similar and his kids eventually saw through all that nonsense. Just keep being present and keep showing up for her.
