Idk why but I'm counting. Every pickup and dropoff smooth, no arguments, scheduling is easy, exes in civil mode. My therapist says this is what "healthy co-parenting" actually looks like and I should recognize the win instead of waiting for the other shoe to drop.

same here and my therapist said the same thing. feels weird to celebrate "didn't fight about Tuesday" but apparently that's the baseline for healthy. wild

Respect for this. Everyone focuses on the drama but the real win is boring, smooth transitions. Your kids probably don't even realize how good they have it compared to some of their friends' situations.
how long did it take to get here? asking because we're maybe at month 4 of actually civil and I keep waiting for it to blow up again
47 pickups sounds like a few months at minimum? That's legitimately incredible consistency. What changed that made the scheduling easier? We're still negotiating pickups like we're splitting assets
47 times is actually incredible. I'm not being sarcastic - that's a massive accomplishment in co-parenting. The fact that you're tracking it shows you care about the consistency. That's what makes the difference for the kids.
This is what I'm working toward. Currently at like 6 in a row before something gets weird with scheduling. Did it take a long time to get here or did it eventually just click?

Your therapist is right but also you should still acknowledge this as a big deal. A lot of people never get here. The fact that the exes can be civil shows everyone's actually putting in work for the kids.
