Had to pick up my daughter early from my ex's house because she spiked a 103 fever. Instead of the usual awkward dynamic, we just... problem-solved together. Got her to urgent care, split the copay, communicated about when I'd have her available to rest. No drama, no point-scoring. Just two parents taking care of a sick kid. Took 14 months post-divorce but maybe we're actually getting somewhere.
