Update: transition days are actually getting better
Remember me? Posted a few months back about how every pickup was a battle - kids crying, mom being cold, general tension. Started doing transition differently. Instead of picking them up right at the house, I started meeting at a coffee shop nearby (mom waits inside, kids come out to me). Gave it two weeks. Now they're actually excited to see me. Mom even waved today which... yeah that made my week lol. Wanted to share in case anyone else is struggling with this.
This is the kind of update we need to see more of. Co-parenting is hard but it sounds like you're both putting in the work. The kids will remember this effort when they're older.
Really happy to hear this update. I remember your first post and it sounded incredibly stressful for everyone involved. How are the kids handling the transitions now?
