So I was trying to impress my kids with a trick where I make a grape disappear and my son just looks at me and goes 'Dad that's not magic that's just you eating it.' Spent 5 minutes setting up this whole bit for them to call me out immediately. They knew the whole time. These kids are too smart for their own good.
Kids have zero filter. They'll tell you exactly how bad a trick is. But honestly those moments are better than when jokes actually land because they're so real.
