280 bucks is wild. I did the same thing last week for two kids and hit 230. The crazy part is the teachers always ask for more stuff in October anyway so what's even the point.

Half of what you bought is probably sitting in a bin at the school right now unused. My daughter brought home like 15 pencils at the end of the year. Fifteen.
Pro tip: don't buy the brand name folders and binders. Get the store brand stuff. Your kids won't care and you'll save like 50 bucks easy.

Wait until you get to high school supplies. 280 will look like a bargain. My oldest needs a graphing calculator that costs 120 dollars by itself.
