Dad joke backfired spectacularly at my daughter's school lunch
I packed my 7 year old's lunch with a note that said 'Why did the scarecrow win an award? He was outstanding in his field.' Apparently she read it out loud to her entire table and the kids had no idea what I was talking about. The teacher called me laughing. Now my daughter is embarrassed but also kind of proud of how bad it was. I'm calling this a win.
Oh no, please tell me that didn't get shared around the school! I had a similar thing happen and found out three other parents had already heard it from their kids. The lunch note strategy is bold but risky.
