My 7 year old asked me what my favorite thing about being a parent is. I said "the punchlines are free and the kids are hilarious." He didn't get it at first then he did and he lost it. Wife rolled her eyes but I saw her smile.

That's the best part about being a dad honestly. Even when they don't get it, you're planting the seeds for their own terrible sense of humor down the road.

Ha, that's gold! My kids do the same thing when I explain my jokes to them. The fact that he asked what you love most about parenting though, that's the real win right there.
