Dad Jokes Are Now a Competitive Sport

My kids groan at my jokes which means I'm doing something right. Hit them with a good one at breakfast this morning and my 8 year old actually said 'that's so bad it's good.' I consider this a major victory. My wife physically shuddered when I told her later. The fact that I can make my kids laugh even when they hate themselves for laughing is peak dad energy. Going to the store specifically to find more material. This is my legacy now.

My kids are at the eye-roll stage now and honestly I think that means I've leveled up. Going to hit them with even worse ones at dinner tomorrow.

The groan is absolutely the seal of approval. When they stop groaning is when you should worry. That means the jokes have gotten actually funny and you've lost your power.
