Dear Dad, I love you so much and you're the best dad ever. Also can I have $20? So now I'm confused. Is the $20 because I'm the best dad or am I about to become the worst dad? Either way I'm out 20 bucks and my soul has been compromised. 5 year olds are tiny con artists.

That's some quality parenting right there because they actually told you how they feel first. The $20 ask is just bonus honesty at that point.

Ha, the kid's got game. I'd say you earned the best dad title fair and square, but the $20 is a separate negotiation. That's solid strategy on their part though.

This is hilarious and honestly kind of brilliant on their part. I get notes like this every other weekend and I'm convinced my kids learned this move from TikTok.
